Bites of Trastevere Food Tour
Enjoy Italian cuisine
About this experience
You’ve thrown coins into the Trevi Fountain and marvelled at the Colosseum – what next? Join us in a day across the Tiber river to Trastevere, a charming medieval neighbourhood with a fiery temperament. A stroll around Trastevere, a formerly working-class district with a heady nightlife, will take you away from the crowds to the hidden corners of Rome.
SMALL GROUPS/LOCAL GUIDE
You will spend 3 hours in an intimate small group (maximum 8 people), guided by a professional local guide. We want you to think of us as your local friends with whom you eat, drink and explore this wonderful city.
6 FOOD STOPS
We will stop at 6 dining establishments from restaurants to delicatessens. And, while strolling from one to the next, you’ll meet local vendors that had created this wonderful cuisine.
Some of the tasting locations include a century old cheese shop, a cookies' factory that dates back to 1920, a gourmet gelateria and a traditional wine cellar and a local farmer's market in the morning tour.
QUALITY LOCAL FOOD & WINE
Italian cuisine is not just pizza and pasta. In our tours you will discover that in Italy there is so much variation and regional differences. Everything you will taste is simple but high quality and is made with locally sourced ingredients, because we truly believe that local food tastes better!
